The central image depicts the Descent of Christ into Hell, His subsequent Resurrection from the Tomb and above, His Ascension to Heaven and joining His Father in Paradise; the surrounding scenes provide an extensive narrative of His life and Passion, executed in great detail with bright colours; and the inscriptions on the ochre border identify the adjacent episodes.
