Rectangular, the front and back panels and the spine with
irregular mosaic in lapis lazuli within silver-gilt mounts and
a pierced clasp dated 1867, with 19th century photographs
of members of the Russian Imperial Family and other
members of Royal and Aristocratic Russian and European
families with gilt-edged pages.
