Provenance: Acquired by the grandfather of the current owner in the late 1920s–1930s.
Thence by descent.

The bowls of circular form with gilt interiors and twisted tapering handles with terminal finials, the reverse of the bowls nielloed within circular reserves with views of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour and the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin.
