Portrayed half-length, the Mother of God is supporting the Child on her right arm and tilting her head towards Him. Christ is embracing His Mother, His left leg uncovered; painted with saturated colours on a blue background, their initials inscribed in gold; the silver oklad punched with elaborate floral motifs in baroque style in high relief, the radiating gilt halo applied with silver, pierced bands of flower buds, the bodies with a gilt and embroidered cover, encrusted with freshwater pearls and gems.
