Circular, the cavetto finely painted with a group of mounted and
standing officers and soldiers gathered on the battlefield, within
gilt band, the green border with gilt and ciselé alternate Imperial
eagles and military trophies, the foot also gilded, the reverse inscribed “1 st Cavalry Corps / 1 st Horse-Artillery Brigade / Soldier of
the 1 st Squadron / Company Officer of the 2 nd Squadron” in
Cyrillic, signed N. Morozov and dated 1843 with blue Imperial
cipher for Nicholas I.
