MARK OF V. GORDON, MAKER’S MARK OF RUDOLF WEIDE IN CYRILLIC, ST PETERSBURG, 84 STANDARD, 1908–1917 .

Rectangular form with reeded sides, the hinged lid with sunburst
pattern radiating from a central cabochon sapphire mounted with gold,
the thumb-piece set likewise with a cabochon sapphire, the inside
of the lid inscribed “With many thanks from Elsa Brändstrom”.
