Provenance: Private collection, Finland. The drawing was made during Repin's trip to Western Europe in 1883. A similar drawing of this embankment is in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Art, Moscow. E. Kirillina, Director of Research, Repin House Museum, Penaty, Russia.
