Provenance: Private collection, Finland. This is a drawing by Repin for an unpublished edition of the Bible. Repin kept the drawing in his studio during his lifetime. A drawing of a very similar technique and size on the same subject is kept in the Tretyakov Gallery. E. Kirillina, Director of Research, Repin House Museum, Penaty, Russia.
