MAKER’S MARK OF SERGEI AGAFONOV IN CYRILLIC, MOSCOW, 1889, 84 STANDARD

Of tapering form, the hinged lid with a dentil edge surmounted with a knopped finial, the square handle with plain thumbpiece, the body chased with an arched-window shaped reserve with a traditional embroidered towel over the window ledge and surrounded with floral decoration, on three bracket feet, gilt interior.
