IMPERIAL PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY, PERIOD OF ALEXANDER II (1855–1881)

Circular, the cavetto finely painted with a mounted officer taking a salute from a standing soldier, with other officers in the background, the gilt border with moulded and incised with ribbon-tied branches of oak and laurel, surmounted by the Imperial arms, the foot also gilded, the reverse inscribed in Cyrillic “His Highness’s Life Guards Ulan Regiment. After the paintings by Balashov, by P. Daladugin, 1878”, with green Imperial cipher for Alexander II.
