Costume Design for Susanna, for the First Act of W.A. Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro", inscribed in Cyrillic "Syuzanna/I akt", also further inscribed "Vera Ivanovna/Shestakova/Malyi opernyi" and with a dedication, and dated "15-VI-1951" on the backboard.
Pencil and gouache on paper, laid on cardboard, 41.5 by 28.5 cm (paper size).

Mozart’s opera buffa Le nozze di Figaro was staged
at the State Leningrad Malyi Opera Theatre with
set and costume designs by Tatiana Bruni, and
with Vera Shestakova in the role of Suzanna.
Provenance: A gift from the artist to the soloist
Vera Shestakova in 1951 (inscription on a label
on the backboard).
