Rustem and Zorab signed and dated 1916, inscribed in Cyrillic "Rustem and Zorab", watercolour and pencil on watermarked paper dated 1912, 22 by 34 cm.
This is an illustration of an episode of fight between Rostem and Sohrab from the Persian Epic Shahnameh by Ferdousi (932-1025).
