God the Father is portrayed as the Ancient of the Days, His face with a sombre yet kind expression, framed by grey hair and beard, wearing a double-glory together with His golden, shaded halo, the hems of His chiton emulating pearl and gemstudded embroidery, and His right hand gesturing in benediction. His left hand is resting gently on His Son, Christ, in luminous golden garments and a tripartite nimbus raising both hands in blessing. The Holy Spirit is haloed, with extended wings springing from the Son’s head. The icon is painted in saturated colours and gold on an olive background.
