On a rearing, white horse, the youthful saint plunges his spear into the mouth of the dragon shown on the bank of the lake. The rescued princess stands at the portico of the palace, her family looks on as a floating angel places a crown on the saint’s head. Christ emerges in blessing at the top of the composition.
