Lev Volshtein was a well-known portraitist and a member of the Circle of Artists (Krug Khudojnikov). He often painted his wife Anna Volshtein (nee Khatenever). A well-known example of his wife’s portrait could be found in the collection of the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg.
