Ilya Glazunov turned to illustrating Nikolai Nekrasov’s oeuvre throughout his artistic career, particularly during the late 1960s and 1970s. The present lot is Glazunov’s illustration of Nekrasov’s narrative poem Moroz-krasny-nos (1863; Red-Nosed Frost).
