Provenance: Acquired by a grandfather of the present owner in Moscow in the 1930s.
Thence by descent.
Private collection, Denmark.
Authenticity of the work has been confirmed by the artist N. Tsirigoti, the director of the Kryzhitsky posthumous exhibition (signed stamp on the reverse).
Authenticity has also been confirmed by the expert V. Petrov.
Exhibited: Posmertnaya vystavka kartin Akademika zhivopisi K. Ya. Kryzhitskogo v zalakh Imperatorskoi Akademii Khudozhestv, St Petersburg, May–June 1911 (stamp on the reverse).
