Book Illustration and Costume Designs, three works, each signed, one with initials, and one titled, further two inscribed and one with a costume design sketch on the reverse.
Each pencil and watercolour, two with ink and one heightened with white, on paper, the largest measuring 50 by 35 cm and the smallest 23 by 45.5 cm.
Book illustration in the present lot is for the edited by Dore Ogrizek collection of essays Paris tel qu’on l'aime, published in Paris by Editions Ode in 1949 (inscription on the reverse).
One of the costume designs is for Edwige Feuillère, starring in the title role in the Jacque de Baroncelli 1942 film La Duchesse de Langeais (inscription on the reverse). And the other is for Nadia Gray as countess de Linières in the Giacomo Gentilomo 1954 film The Two Orphans (Le due orfanelle).
