Provenance: Acquired by the grandfather of the current owner in the late 1920s–1930s.
Thence by descent.

The Imperial plate circular with scalloped rim, cobalt blue body with gilt floral motif, the cavetto with gilt rosette, the borders with two shaped reserves painted with flowers and butterflies, with Imperial cipher for Nicholas I; the Gardner plate also circular, with white beaded border, the marine green body with gilt ornaments, the borders with three white reserves painted with floral sprays, with blue manufactory mark.
