Each cavetto with a stylised rosette, the borders decorated with gilt, green and red strap-work and Imperial eagles, with blue Imperial ciphers for Nicholas I and red inventory numbers “21573” and “..576”.

This service designed by Feodor Solntsev was created in 1848 on the occasion of the marriage of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolaevich and Alexandra Iosifovna.
