Enamelled with blue, red and white geometric borders and folk motifs on stippled gilt ground, the back plate enamelled with a cockerel, the enamelled Cyrillic proverb on the lidded seat “without salt, without bread conversation is bad” and another around the base “eat bread and salt, speak the truth”.
