The present lot is a version of Lemokh's 1879 work The Rebuke, which was exhibited at the VII Exhibition of the Society for Itinerant Art Exhibitions, St Petersburg, Moscow, Odessa, Kiev, Kharkov, Saratov, Tambov, 1879–1880.

Provenance: Private collection, Europe.

Authenticity of the work has been confirmed by the expert V. Petrov.
