KORNILOV BROTHERS, ST PETERSBURG, 1900s .

Diameter of a saucer 13.5 cm, diameter of a cup 9.5 cm, height of a cup 4.5 cm.

Comprising eight double-handled cups and saucers all similarly decorated with alternate blue heraldic shields and floral folk motifs in green and red on a white ground, the cups being flanked with handles of stylised equine form, marked with factory marks of a bear holding a standard, inscribed “Made in Russia by Kornilow Bros.” and numbered “220” on the reverse.
