Authenticity has been confirmed by the daughter of the artist. Exhibited: Alexis Paul Arapoff Memorial Exhibition, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, March-April 1952. This is a study for a portrait of Mrs Ouspensky, Arapoff's close friend and patron. The finished work is owned by the descendants of the sitter.
