RUSSIA, 1831.
Length in scabbard 103 cm., length of blade 81 cm.

Literature: Arms and Armors from Private Collection, Moscow, Strelets, 2011, pp. 214-215, illustrated.

The blade is curved, single-edged, with fuller. The inscription along the blunt edge reads: “[Zlato]ust December 1831” in Cyrillic. The ricasso marked МЭ, G in the ring and number 3. The hilt with round bifurcated pommel was cut from two panels of black horn riveted to the tang. The scabbard made from leather and chased with blackened silver fittings.
