* 672. A SOVIET PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A SARATOV WOMAN IN TRADITIONAL COSTUME

AFTER A 1913 MODEL BY P. KAMENSKY, STATE PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY, LENINGRAD, 1937.
Height 19.5 cm.

Bulbous bodies, cut with linear facets, silver mounts with leaf tip borders and hinged lids with acorn finials.

Standing on the round base, depicting a traditionally dressed Saratov woman in a sarafan and kokoshnik, stamped under base with green hammer and sickle factory mark, dated 1937 and signed with artist’s initials “VR” for Varvara Rukovishnikova in Cyrillic.
