Watercolour and ink on paper, 26 by 37 cm. Born in Odessa in 1899, he immigrated to France with his family in 1905. Studied in the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Exhibited in Salon d'Automne and Salon des Indépendants.

He was arrested by the Germans in 1941. This painting is a rare example of his work executed while in the Compiegne Concentration Camp.
