Provenance: Private collection, France.
Purchased by the present owner during the Alexandre Rabin exhibition in Paris.

Authenticity has been confirmed by the family of the artist.

Alexandre Rabin was one of the organisers of the “Bulldozer Exhibition”, and participated in many exhibitions of, "unofficial" art throughout the USSR. His first solo exhibition was held in 1981 in France.

The son of Oscar Rabin and Valentina Kropivnitskaya, Alexandre started painting at the age of 17, influenced by his many artistic relatives and their friends. Tragically he died in 1994.
