Another of Sofronov’s prized personal collection, this dates from the period when Stelletsky was painting the St. Serge Church in Paris. Innokentii had been a prominent Old Believer bishop of Nizhni Novgorod.
After the Russian Revolution he became Metropolitan of the Old Believers in Bukovina. Here he is shown with the traditional round hat of an Old Believer hierarch.
