Authenticity of the work has been confirmed by Vasily Chuikov (inscription on the reverse).
The present lot is a study for Chuikov’s 1938 painting Hunter with Golden Eagle, currently in the collection of the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts, Bishkek.
