Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist by Ivan Alekseevich Novikov, a state counsellor and Bogoliubov’s friend (inscription on the reverse).
Acquired by Johan Olof, a Danish consul, in Russia in the 1930s.
Authenticity of the work has been confirmed by the expert V. Petrov.
