Authenticity of the work has been confirmed by the expert O. Glebova.

Due to Alexander Yacovlev's strong interest in Chinese art, he sometimes stamped his works with a Chinese seal as in the case with this work. This seal was his Chinese name and read Ya Kou Lo Fo, with the last character meaning ‘happiness.'
