Set Design for the Jacques Ibert Ballet "Diane de Poitiers", signed, also further signed, inscribed "pour Ida Rubinstein", titled and dated 1931 (?) on the reverse.

Pencil, ink, watercolour and gouache on paper, 30 by 46.5 cm, 30 by 46.5 cm.

Authenticity of the work has been confirmed by the experts M. Goncharova and A. Kiseleva.

Literature: M. Etkind, Aleksandr Benua, Moscow, Iskusstvo, 1965, p. 196, listed under works from 1934 with an incorrect attribution of the ballet to Maurice Ravel.
